New York Giants defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson isn't putting up with a lack of effort any longer.

New York Giants defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson issued a sharp critique of his defensive unit following poor effort in a Week 6 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Speaking ahead of a Week 7 matchup against the Houston Texans, Wilson labeled players who fail to run to the football as traitors to the defense, warning that those failing to correct their behavior will be removed from the field.
According to SumerSports metrics cited by GMEN HQ's Michael Haney, New York missed 14.1% of its tackles and conceded 3.53 rushing yards after contact per attempt against the Saints. Haney argues that the public reprimand reflects a strict culture under head coach John Harbaugh, as the Giants seek their fourth win of the season.
