The hooker joined Castleford ahead of the 2026 season, and made 17 appearances.

Castleford Tigers hooker Liam Hood has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2027 season. The 34-year-old made 17 appearances across all competitions in 2026 after joining from Wakefield Trinity, despite missing time due to a serious neck injury.
Hood becomes the latest player to commit to Castleford under newly appointed head coach Paul Rowley, following Ash Golding's recent two-year extension. Director of rugby Chris Chester praised Hood's composure and leadership, noting his extensive experience of over 300 career appearances and 10 Scotland caps.
