Save for a spark of a pass rush against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4, the Miami Dolphins pass rush has been dormant for the 2026 NFL season. Against the Vikings, the Dolphins recorded four sacks, two by defensive tackle…

The Phinsider's Kevin Nogle argues that the Miami Dolphins must urgently improve their dormant pass rush following their bye week. Through five games in the 2026 season, the Dolphins have recorded just four sacks total, all of which came in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings courtesy of Zach Sieler, Josh Uche, and Chop Robinson. That tally leaves Miami with the fewest sacks in the NFL, sitting at half the total of the next closest teams.
Head coach Jeff Hafley addressed the struggles, stating the coaching staff addressed the issue over the bye week and plans to scheme ways to create more quarterback pressure. The lack of disruption has contributed to a 115.0 opponent passer rating, ranking 31st league-wide, while opposing offenses convert 52 percent of third downs. Nogle emphasizes that while the roster is rebuilding, the pass rush group risks stagnating without rapid improvement.
