The Dallas Cowboys have officially designated safety P.J. Locke for return from injured reserve, opening a 21-day practice window to activate him to the roster. Locke has been sidelined with a foot injury sustained in Week 2, which placed him on IR on September 26. The move could allow him to return as early as Week 7.
Locke signed a one-year, $4 million contract with Dallas during the offseason after spending six years with the Denver Broncos. His return offers potential relief to a heavily depleted Cowboys secondary that has also dealt with injuries to safeties Jalen Thompson and Malik Hooker this season.
