BlueJaysNation's Michael Coyle identifies upcoming free-agent reliever Adrian Morejon as an ideal target for the Toronto Blue Jays this offseason. After leaning heavily on their bullpen throughout 2026, Toronto could look to strengthen its relief corps with the 27-year-old left-hander. Morejon is set to enter free agency for the first time following eight seasons with the San Diego Padres, where he posted a 2.83 ERA across 76 appearances in 2026.
Coyle notes that acquiring Morejon would require a significant financial commitment, citing a Bleacher Report projection of a five-year, $90 million deal. Toronto heavily relied on left-handed reliever Mason Fluharty for an MLB-high 83 games, making additional bullpen depth a priority. Although Morejon expressed a desire to remain in San Diego, he acknowledged the unpredictability of the open market.
