Lando Norris did not have an enjoyable day behind the wheel on Friday at the Circuit of the Americas.

McLaren driver Lando Norris admitted it felt "impossible" to string a complete lap together during Friday practice at the Circuit of the Americas. Norris encountered a challenging session in Free Practice 2, finishing as the seventh-fastest driver after oversteering into Turn 15 during a soft-tire qualifying simulation.
Despite the difficult handling, Norris remained optimistic about McLaren's underlying speed heading into qualifying. He noted that the car showed strong pace in sectors and expressed hope that overnight setup adjustments would resolve the handling issues ahead of the United States Grand Prix.
