Key Things to Know
  • Isack Hadjar called his Red Bull car undriveable after struggling through second practice at the United States Grand Prix.
  • Hadjar finished FP2 in ninth place, over nine-tenths of a second behind teammate Max Verstappen.
  • Set-up changes between sessions led to front-tire overheating and severe degradation across soft-tire laps.
The Story in 60 Seconds

Isack Hadjar described his Red Bull RB22 as "undriveable" and his second practice session as "a disaster" at the United States Grand Prix in Austin. The French driver struggled on the soft compound tire following set-up changes made between practice sessions, finishing FP2 in ninth place, 0.931 seconds behind teammate Max Verstappen, who took third behind Charles Leclerc and Kimi Antonelli.

Hadjar reported severe front-end grip loss due to overheating through early high-speed corners. Red Bull Technical Director Pierre Wache confirmed the team took the wrong set-up direction between sessions on Hadjar's car, also noting that track bumps at Circuit of the Americas were causing compliance issues.
