Trent Williams reveals who is ‘lifeblood’ of 49ers’ undefeated 2026 start

San Francisco 49ers offensive tackle Trent Williams stated that the team's young defenders are the "lifeblood" behind their undefeated 6-0 start. Following San Francisco's 23-17 victory over the Washington Commanders at Levi's Stadium, Williams praised the rookie class from the 2026 NFL Draft for setting the tone and driving the roster's overall success alongside established veteran leaders.

Williams specifically highlighted rookie defensive end Romello Height, who forced an intentional grounding call and shared a late sack with Keion White against Jayden Daniels. Williams also lauded fourth-round defensive tackle Gracen Halton, who recorded a sack in the game, and fifth-round linebacker Jalen Dugger, who has totaled 28 tackles this season.
