Naomi Osaka's ex-boyfriend, American rapper Cordae, has bared his feelings about their split in a new song "Helpless," a collaboration with Anderson .Paak.

Rapper Cordae addressed his breakup with tennis star Naomi Osaka in a new collaboration track titled "Helpless" with Anderson .Paak. Directing lyrics toward their daughter, Shai, the 29-year-old musician expressed that he never intended to raise her in separate homes and claimed Osaka's love for him had faded. Osaka and Cordae originally began dating in 2019 before Osaka announced their amicable separation in January 2025.
Despite the candid lyrics, Osaka showed support for Cordae's collaborative project on social media. On the court, the four-time Grand Slam champion recently competed at the China Open before withdrawing from the Wuhan Open, with plans to make her competitive return at the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo.
