"Like, this ain't no [expletive] Shaq and Kobe. Like, there's no beef. It's not about that."

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum addressed Jaylen Brown's recent social media response, stating there is no feud or animosity between the former teammates. Brown, who was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers in July, had commented with a "cap" emoji on a video where Tatum claimed he was caught off guard by the trade. Tatum emphasized that the two simply need to have an adult conversation to clear the air.
Speaking after scoring 36 points in Boston's 107-103 win over the New York Knicks on Friday, Tatum pushed back against comparisons to the historical rift between Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant. He expressed frustration that public drama has overshadowed their shared accomplishments, which include two NBA Finals appearances and a championship.
