Gerald Coetzee, Corbin Bosch and Dane Paterson will come into the conversation if South Africa want to field a quick bowler in place of Anrich Nortje in the Cape Town Test…

South Africa fast bowler Anrich Nortje has been ruled out of the third and deciding Test against Australia in Cape Town after suffering a mild groin injury. Nortje sustained the injury on the fourth morning of the second Test at St George's Park, leaving the field midway through his fourth over. The three-match series is currently tied at 1-1.
South Africa have not named an external replacement, with Gerald Coetzee, Corbin Bosch, and Dane Paterson in contention to step into the pace attack. Captain Temba Bavuma admitted playing Nortje in consecutive matches was a risk following his three-and-a-half-year absence from red-ball cricket. The injury is reportedly not as severe as initially feared.
