"Sometimes ... you need to be shocked a little bit," Giannis Antetokounmpo says after Heat drop to 0-2.

The Miami Heat dropped to 0-2 to start the season following a 128-111 home loss to the Detroit Pistons on Friday. The defeat came after a 25-point opening loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, prompting calls for increased urgency and communication from head coach Erik Spoelstra and newcomer Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Antetokounmpo led all scorers with 36 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists, but early deficits and cold perimeter shooting hampered Miami. The starting lineup of Antetokounmpo, Bam Adebayo, Davion Mitchell, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins struggled defensively, shooting just 27.4 percent from 3-point range over the two games.
