Mayfield fully practiced all week and is poised to return to game action following a three-game absence that stemmed from a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield is set to start in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers after missing three games due to a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand. Head coach Todd Bowles confirmed Mayfield is ready to play following a full week of practice. However, the Buccaneers have ruled out wide receiver Emeka Egbuka due to a concussion.
Mayfield suffered the injury to his right hand during a Week 3 loss against the Minnesota Vikings. In addition to Egbuka, the Buccaneers will be without starters Luke Goedeke and Antoine Winfield Jr. as they look to improve on their 1-5 record against their NFC South rivals.
