Giants linebacker Tremaine Edmunds will miss the rest of the season with a torn chest muscle, a source told ESPN's Jordan Raanan. Edmunds leads the team with 50 tackles and wore the green dot to make the calls on defense.

New York Giants middle linebacker Tremaine Edmunds is out for the remainder of the season due to a torn chest muscle, according to an ESPN source. Edmunds suffered the injury during the final plays of Sunday's 34-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The team also revealed outside linebacker Chauncey Golston will miss the rest of the season after landing on injured reserve with a neck injury.
Edmunds led the defense with 50 tackles, shared the team lead with two sacks, and served as the green-dot defensive caller. Veteran Micah McFadden will replace him in the starting lineup and take over play-calling duties under defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson for Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.
