The Portland Trail Blazers learned a Deni Avdija lesson the hard way in their unnecessarily close win against the Sacramento Kings.

Rip City Project's Orel Dizon argues that the Portland Trail Blazers must run their offense through Deni Avdija earlier in games following a narrow 128-120 victory over the Sacramento Kings. After trailing 64-59 at halftime, Portland surged when Avdija initiated the offense during a 44-26 third quarter, where he recorded 11 points and three assists.
The writer notes that while guards Damian Lillard and Ja Morant struggled early, shooting a combined 4-of-14 in the first half, Avdija's playmaking shifted momentum. Dizon contends that head coach Micah Nori should consistently place the ball in Avdija's hands, especially on nights when the starting backcourt faces shooting slumps.
