Embarrassed CF Montreal try to delay Nashville SC MLS Supporters’ Shield crowning

CF Montreal host league leaders Nashville SC at Stade Saputo on Saturday, looking to delay their opponents from securing the MLS Supporters' Shield. Nashville need only a win or draw to clinch their first regular-season title. Montreal enter the match sitting 15th in the Eastern Conference following a penalty-shootout loss to Forge FC in the Canadian Championship final.

Montreal manager Philippe Eullaffroy will be without striker Prince Owusu due to a lower-body injury. However, forward Alexis Sanchez will start after remaining on the bench during Wednesday's final, while 17-year-old goalkeeper Samsy Keita makes his first-team debut against a potent Nashville attack featuring Sam Surridge, Hany Mukhtar, and Cristian Espinoza.
