2 Reasons To Be Excited About The Guardians’ Future

Writer Andres Chavez highlights the Cleveland Guardians' elite starting rotation duo and strong position player core as key reasons for optimism following their ALCS loss. After blowing a 2-1 series lead against the Tampa Bay Rays, Cleveland is poised for long-term contention behind starting pitchers Gavin Williams and Parker Messick, who remain under team control for at least three seasons.

Chavez also notes Cleveland's promising offensive foundation, spotlighting rookie outfielder Chase DeLauter, 2024 No. 1 overall pick Travis Bazzana, and shortstop Brayan Rocchio. Supported by veterans Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez, Chavez argues that modest internal improvements could position the Guardians strongly for 2027.
