Palmer was booked after shoving Mateus Fernandes to the ground before being given his marching orders for what Neville called a 'very naughty' challenge.

Gary Neville criticized Cole Palmer for losing his head after the Chelsea attacker was sent off in a 2-0 Premier League defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Palmer received two rapid yellow cards, first for shoving Mateus Fernandes and shortly after for a late challenge on Conor Gallagher. Neville also argued that Chelsea teammate Morgan Rogers should have received a red card for kicking Gallagher late in the contest.
Tottenham secured the victory at Stamford Bridge under manager Roberto De Zerbi courtesy of a Mike Penders own goal and a late strike from Mathys Tel. Palmer will serve his one-match suspension during Chelsea's Carabao Cup tie against Liverpool, leaving him available for manager Xabi Alonso's side in their upcoming league fixture against Manchester United.
