The Milwaukee Bucks reportedly turned down a trade that would have sent Kevin Porter Jr. to the Denver Nuggets, but flexibility was a likely issue.

The Milwaukee Bucks reportedly declined a trade offer from the Denver Nuggets involving Kevin Porter Jr. before waiving him, according to reporter Jake Fischer. The proposed permanent deal would have sent Porter to Denver in exchange for big man Zeke Nnaji, two second-round draft picks, and a future draft swap. Milwaukee instead chose to waive Porter to trim its roster to 15 standard contracts.
Dalton Sell of Behind the Buck Pass argues that the Bucks rejected the trade to preserve future financial flexibility. Nnaji carries a $7.5 million player option next season, which the Bucks reportedly sought to avoid to keep cap room available for upcoming free agents.
