Rockets Star Kevin Durant Posts 5-Word Message After Amen Thompson Stuns Wemby

Kevin Durant celebrated teammate Amen Thompson on Instagram after Thompson blocked Victor Wembanyama's potential game-tying shot on October 23. Durant posted a photo of the rejection with the five-word caption, "Gimme those. Thank ya." Thompson's defensive stop in the final seconds preserved Houston's lead, securing a 114-110 victory over the San Antonio Spurs and moving the Rockets to a 2-0 record on the season.

Durant praised Thompson's athleticism after the game, calling him a "freak athlete" who rose quickly to deny the towering center. Beyond the game-sealing block, Thompson posted 20 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks. Alperen Sengun led the Rockets with 29 points, while Durant added 20 points, seven rebounds, and six assists alongside a crucial late three-pointer.
