The Lakers know what their biggest issue has been so far this season.

The Los Angeles Lakers are actively working to correct major turnover issues despite opening the season 2-0 with home wins over the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers. Head coach JJ Redick and guards Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic acknowledged the ball-handling problems after committing 18 giveaways in the opener and 21 against the Clippers, with Doncic and Reaves combining for 17 in Friday's game.
Despite giving up 29 points off turnovers against the Clippers, the Lakers have scored 252 total points across both victories while shooting over 56 percent in each contest. Redick attributed many of the mistakes to growing pains and building familiarity following a significant roster overhaul, emphasizing simple passes moving forward.
