Arman Tsarukyan is no longer considering a move to featherweight.
UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan has officially ruled out moving down to featherweight, shutting down a potential matchup against Movsar Evloev. Speaking at the RAF 14 postmatch press conference following his win over Dillon Danis, Tsarukyan insisted that he has no intention of cutting down to 145 pounds and stated that Evloev would need to win a championship first.
Evloev had previously expressed interest in fighting Tsarukyan if he dropped divisions, but subsequently suffered a second-round technical knockout loss to Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi. Tsarukyan continues to focus on securing a UFC lightweight title opportunity, while reigning champion Justin Gaethje has yet to commit to defending his belt.
