Man Utd spent £150m in the summer transfer window, significantly less than their rivals in the Premier League.

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has dismissed suggestions that a lack of summer signings is to blame for the team's recent poor run of form. Despite supporters urging him to address the club's £150 million summer transfer spend and Lisandro Martinez openly criticizing the board's recruitment, Carrick insisted that getting results on the pitch is the main priority rather than receiving additional transfer support.
Carrick also defended his squad against criticism regarding their work rate and low running statistics following a heavy loss to Como. He dismissed excessive focus on pressing metrics, arguing that pressing and running figures alone do not dictate match outcomes, and called for his side to return to their best performances.
