Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Jim Hiller praised his team's depth and defensive structure following a commanding 7-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. Hiller emphasized that the team's recent offensive surge extends beyond core stars Auston Matthews, William Nylander, and John Tavares, pointing to four different depth players scoring their first goals for the franchise across the last two games.
Goaltender Anthony Stolarz turned aside 30 of 32 shots in Edmonton, earning plaudits from Hiller for holding firm during critical breakdowns. Hiller also highlighted the contributions of Troy Stecher, who scored two goals, as well as the strong chemistry between Jack Roslovic, Easton Cowan, and Matthews on the top line.
