The Story in 60 Seconds

New York Mets infield prospect Boston Baro is using the Arizona Fall League to regain momentum and add power after injuries limited his 2026 season to just 11 games. Playing for the Surprise Saguaros, the 22-year-old recently hit a three-run homer against the Peoria Javelinas, marking his first home run in game action since July 2025.

Baro missed substantial time this year due to right shoulder and quad injuries suffered on rehab assignments. In addition to strength training, he has altered his hitting approach by letting pitches travel deeper to generate more consistent exit velocity while competing across second, shortstop, and third base.
