The Brooklyn Nets staged an explosive fourth-quarter comeback but ultimately fell 125-121 to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night. Brooklyn cut a 22-point deficit down to four points in the final minute behind a combined five three-pointers from Egor Dëmin and Mikel Brown Jr. Dëmin led the charge with 15 fourth-quarter points, though the late push was not enough to prevent the Nets from dropping to 0-2.
Michael Porter Jr. led Brooklyn in scoring with 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting, while Julius Randle recorded 21 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Cleveland established control through dominant first-half shooting, led early by Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Head coach Jordi Fernandez commended Brooklyn's late-game shot quality and fight ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers.
