Spurs fans have been clamoring for more post-ups for Victor Wembanyama, and Mitch Johnson explains why that's more complicated than it sounds.

San Antonio Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson addressed fan questions regarding Victor Wembanyama's post-up usage ahead of the team's first road game against the Dallas Mavericks. Johnson explained that opposing defenses play physical basketball, that Wembanyama can improve his leverage and pacing, and that he personally must do a better job placing the team and Wembanyama in advantageous scoring spots.
Air Alamo's Jahlil Williams argues that supporters must give the Spurs time to round out Wembanyama's skill set as he learns to pick his spots. Williams notes that San Antonio is balancing winning with developing multiple young core players, including rookie Carter Bryant, while De'Aaron Fox represents the only core contributor currently in his prime.
