Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been officially ruled out for Week 7 due to an ankle injury. Jackson initially suffered the injury in Week 4 and will now miss his third consecutive contest, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Although Jackson practiced during the week, the two-time NFL MVP will not play Sunday as Baltimore hopes he can return for Week 8.
Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will start under center for the Ravens in Jackson's absence. Huntley previously started in Baltimore's close loss to the Cleveland Browns, where he completed 19 of 31 passes for 165 yards and one touchdown. Prior to his injury, Jackson had completed 70.8% of his passes for 967 yards, six touchdowns, and one interception this season.
