Avalanche have an opportunity to pounce on Predators

The Colorado Avalanche visit the Nashville Predators on Sunday night at Bridgestone Arena following a 6-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Nestor Quixtan of Mile High Sticking notes Colorado has a favorable opportunity against a fatigued Nashville squad playing the second night of a back-to-back set after losing 3-2 in overtime to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Quixtan expects the Avalanche to stick with a 12-forward, 6-defensemen lineup, with Taylor Makar likely dressing while Nic Roy remains doubtful. MacKenzie Blackwood is anticipated to start in goal for head coach Jared Bednar. Colorado also placed 23-year-old Zachary L’Heureux on long-term injured reserve ahead of the Central Division clash.
