J.J. McCarthy’s bench magic almost dug the Giants out of a deep hole, and now he’ll get his shot to start Sunday against the Texans.

Sean Treppedi of the New York Post predicts that the New York Giants will cover the spread as 10.5-point underdogs against the Houston Texans in Week 7. J.J. McCarthy is scheduled to start for the Giants after a record-setting relief appearance last week, throwing for 243 yards in 11 minutes against the New Orleans Saints.
Treppedi argues that McCarthy's upside and chemistry with receiver Malik Nabers will exploit Houston's pass defense, which has conceded 24 passes of 20 or more yards this season. While the Texans boast a strong pass rush featuring Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter, the writer believes New York will sustain drives and keep the game close.
