Shardul Thakur, the Mumbai seam-bowling allrounder, picked up a finger injury before the start of the Ranji Trophy season and is yet to have fully recovered…

Mumbai seam-bowling allrounder Shardul Thakur will miss Mumbai's third-round Ranji Trophy clash against Haryana after failing to recover from a finger injury. Thakur suffered a fractured right middle finger during training prior to the opening round and was initially ruled out of the first two matches. Although team management hoped he would return for round three, he is not yet match fit despite training with the squad.
Mumbai remains depleted with vice-captain Ayush Mhatre sidelined by a hamstring issue and Yashasvi Jaiswal on national duty in New Zealand. Thakur, who last played competitively in the Duleep Trophy in late August, will undertake commentary duties during India's T20I series in New Zealand while continuing his recovery.
