Cowboys 2027 free agents report: Joey Porter Jr. finally arrives

Jess Haynie of The Landry Hat reports that Dallas Cowboys cornerback Joey Porter Jr. delivered a standout performance against the Green Bay Packers. After being acquired via trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers following Week 3, Porter battled limited snaps and an illness before starting in Green Bay. Haynie highlights Porter as a rare bright spot for Dallas' defense, noting Packers quarterback Jordan Love rarely threw his direction.

Haynie also examines the broader implications for impending free agents, including Porter and wide receiver George Pickens. While Porter improved his future free agent value, Haynie notes growing concerns surrounding Pickens amid offensive struggles with play-calling and execution. The writer suggests Porter's strong play could complicate Dallas' upcoming offseason contract decisions if his high-level form continues.
