In Kompany's absence, Max Eberl defended the young winger who was the subject of criticism from Uli Hoeneß on Friday.

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has defended young winger Lennart Karl following recent public criticism from honorary president Uli Hoeneß. Speaking at a press conference in manager Vincent Kompany's absence, Eberl described the young player's current dip in form as a completely normal process.
Eberl noted that Karl is working his way back after an injury that forced him to miss the World Cup, stressing that the club remains fully supportive. His comments came after Hoeneß claimed Karl needed to learn humility following a difficult start to the season.
