Bayern Munich have issued an official statement on Vincent Kompany’s condition after the Belgian coach suddenly collapsed at the club’s training ground on Friday.

Bayern Munich have released an official medical update confirming manager Vincent Kompany was hospitalized after collapsing at the club's training ground on Friday. The Belgian coach fell ill while observing the reserve team's practice session. Kompany is currently undergoing thorough medical examinations and will remain under supervision in hospital, with his coaching staff stepping in to take charge of matches and training.
Club board member for sport Max Eberl emphasized that Kompany's health remains the priority, noting he will receive all necessary support and time to recover. Kompany had recently experienced hip problems and a viral infection, which previously limited his involvement in matches against RB Leipzig and Arsenal. Bayern Munich are set to visit SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
