It didn't take long for the Brewers ace to break records in his first World Series appearance.

Milwaukee Brewers ace Jacob Misiorowski set a new Statcast-era record for the fastest pitch in World Series history on Friday. Throwing the first pitch of Game 1 against the Tampa Bay Rays, Misiorowski delivered a 103.5 mph fastball to Yandy Diaz, surpassing Aroldis Chapman's previous record of 103.2 mph set in 2016.
Misiorowski went on to allow one earned run and strike out three batters over five innings in Milwaukee's 3-2 victory. The performance capped a dominant campaign for the right-hander, who led MLB in ERA and strikeouts during his first full regular season.
