Chelsea 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur: An own goal by Mike Penders and Mathys Tel’s solo strike earned Spurs a rare win at Stamford Bridge as Cole Palmer saw red…
Tottenham Hotspur earned a 2-0 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge after Cole Palmer was sent off in the second half. The match turned chaotic when Palmer received two yellow cards in seven minutes, first for a challenge on Mateus Fernandes and then for fouling Conor Gallagher. Shortly after the initial melee, Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders accidentally punched Fernandes's corner into his own net to give Spurs the lead.
Following Palmer's dismissal, Mathys Tel sealed the win for Roberto De Zerbi's side with a solo run and finish. Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso defended Penders after the match, while Spurs secured their second consecutive victory.
