Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner insists Ipswich Town defender Issa Diop should have been sent off in Friday night's 1-1 draw.
Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner stated that Ipswich Town defender Issa Diop should have been sent off during a 1-1 draw between the two sides. Diop fouled James McAtee early in the second half, leading to a pitchside VAR review by referee Thomas Bramall, who ultimately determined that McAtee was moving away from the goal and issued only a yellow card.
While Glasner disagreed with the final decision, he praised the VAR review process for functioning correctly. In contrast, Ipswich Town manager Gary O'Neil supported the referee's judgment, arguing that teammate Leif Davis was well positioned to cover and that McAtee did not have a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
