Excluding the practice squad, a collection of talent that is mostly inactive for a game, there are 2 Vikings players…

Excluding injured players and emergency backups, safety Jakobe Thomas and defensive tackle Elijah Williams are the only two Minnesota Vikings roster members who have not played a snap in 2026. Despite being healthy and occupying spots on the 53-man roster, neither player has dressed for a game during the Vikings' 5-0 start.
Defensive coordinator Brian Flores has prioritized other contributors, leaving rookie third-round pick Thomas sidelined despite inconsistent play across the safety position. Williams has similarly struggled to break into a defensive line rotation led by performing tackles Jalen Redmond and Levi Drake Rodriguez heading into Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.
