Washington Wizards rookie AJ Dybantsa will miss his fourth straight game Monday against the Charlotte Hornets as he recovers from a left ankle sprain.

The Washington Wizards have officially ruled out rookie forward AJ Dybantsa for Monday's game against the Charlotte Hornets on October 26. The 2026 No. 1 overall draft pick continues to recover from a left ankle sprain sustained during the preseason finale against the New Orleans Pelicans on October 16. Monday will mark Dybantsa's fourth consecutive missed regular-season game.
While head coach Brian Keefe previously described the 19-year-old as day-to-day, the team has not established a firm return timeline. Dybantsa's next opportunity to debut will come on Wednesday, October 28, against the Cleveland Cavaliers, or on Friday, October 30, in a home rematch against Charlotte.
