Paolo Banchero will likely miss the next month of the season with another early-season injury. This same old story has frustrated everybody.

Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero voiced frustration after sustaining a low-grade right high ankle sprain against the Minnesota Timberwolves, which is expected to sideline him for at least four weeks. Banchero was initially hurt when Desmond Bane rolled into his right leg, and he aggravated the injury during a third-quarter collision with teammate Jalen Suggs.
The setback marks the third consecutive season that Banchero has suffered a significant early-season injury, following an oblique tear in 2024–25 and a strained groin the subsequent year. Orlando Magic coach Sean Sweeney stated the focus remains on Banchero's recovery while the team works to stay afloat during his absence.
