“Sorry for doubting you” – Liverpool fans heap praise on surprise star after 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion

Liverpool supporters praised loanee Ronald Araújo following his 90-minute display at right-back during a 2-0 Premier League victory against Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield. The Reds secured the win through an own goal by Pascal Groß deflected from Florian Wirtz's shot and a second strike from Alexander Isak. Many fans took to social media to apologize for previously doubting the Barcelona defender and urged the club to sign him permanently.

Araújo stepped into the right-back role amid injuries to regular options Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley. Liverpool reportedly hold an option to buy the Uruguayan international permanently for £47 million in the summer, though Araújo stated that his primary focus remains on playing rather than his long-term future.
