5 prospects primed to breakout for the Phillies in 2027

Ben Silver of That Balls Outta Here highlights five Philadelphia Phillies minor league prospects who could experience breakout campaigns in 2027. Amid the potential backdrop of an MLB lockout affecting the major league schedule, lower minor league players will continue competing, placing added attention on emerging farmhands across the organization.

The featured prospects include outfielders Will Gasparino and Caden Bogenpohl, left-handed reliever Mavis Graves, right-handed pitcher Matthew Fisher, and former first-round pick Dante Nori. Silver notes that Graves could push for the majors after posting a 0.93 ERA in Double-A Reading, while Nori faces a pivotal season following an injury-plagued 2026.
