QB Baker Mayfield, who made his return Sunday from a thumb injury in the Bucs' 43-13 thrashing of the Panthers, says the win validated the process the team has been following after the disappointment of a 1-5 start…

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield stated that the team made an internal statement to themselves following a 43-13 victory over the Carolina Panthers in Week Seven. Returning from a three-game absence due to a dislocated right thumb, Mayfield viewed the win at Bank of America Stadium as validation of the team's process after starting the season 1-5.
Mayfield completed seven of 11 passes for 64 yards and one touchdown in his return. Tampa Bay's rushing attack powered the offense with 258 yards, allowing the Buccaneers to control the football for nearly 36 minutes and snap a stretch of difficult close losses.
