The retention deadline for the franchises will be November 15, with this being the last mini-auction in the IPL's current cycle…

The Indian Premier League auction for the 2027 season will take place on December 16 in Goa. The day-long mini-auction is scheduled on the same day as the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. Franchises have been informed that the retention deadline is set for November 15, approximately one month prior to the auction.
This marks the final mini-auction of the IPL's current cycle before a mega auction precedes the 2028 season. Meanwhile, the IPL trade window remains open, having already seen Lucknow Super Giants trade Rishabh Pant to Delhi Capitals for Kuldeep Yadav, while Delhi Capitals sent T Natarajan to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Zeeshan Ansari.
