The New England Patriots suffered a 30-24 defeat against the Chicago Bears in Week 7, largely constrained by a season-low 54 offensive snaps. Head coach Mike Vrabel previously highlighted the challenge of countering Chicago's ball-control strategy, which saw the Patriots defense remain on the field for 69 snaps across 31 minutes and 23 seconds of possession. Quarterback Drake Maye played all 54 offensive snaps, completing 24 passes, though 17 went to tight ends or running backs as Chicago limited New England's overall possession.
Despite the loss, New England's offensive line went wire-to-wire together for the first time since Week 4. Wide receiver A.J. Brown logged 49 snaps in his second game back from a high ankle sprain, while running back Rhamondre Stevenson led the backfield with 37 snaps. Defensively, Christian Gonzalez, Robert Spillane, Christian Elliss, and Craig Woodson each played all 69 defensive snaps.
