Abdul Carter is delivering big-time results for the Giants.

Second-year pass rusher Abdul Carter helped spark the New York Giants' defense during a 27-21 overtime victory against the Houston Texans. Carter delivered a rare halftime speech urging his teammates to empty the tank after Houston tied the game. The Giants responded by limiting the Texans to 237 total yards and forcing a crucial three-and-out in overtime to secure the win.
The performance followed defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson's criticism of the unit's effort in the previous game against the Saints. With key defenders Brian Burns and Tremaine Edmunds sidelined for the season, Carter and rookie linebacker Arvell Reese have stepped into prominent roles to keep the 4-2-1 Giants atop the NFC East.
