The winner of the 2026 men's Ballon d'Or award will be announced today at a ceremony held in London. Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, and Real Madrid's Kylian Mbappe are among the leading contenders for the prestigious award, with Yamal positioned to become the youngest winner in the history of the prize.
Yamal enters the ceremony having won both La Liga and the World Cup in 2026. His primary competition includes Kane, who won the league and cup double in Germany after scoring 61 goals in 51 matches during the 2025-26 season, and Mbappe, who contended for the award despite a trophyless campaign.
