Antonelli superb and Leclerc close to perfect – driver ratings

BBC F1 commentator Harry Benjamin assessed driver performances at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, awarding race winner Kimi Antonelli a perfect 10/10 score. The 20-year-old Mercedes driver secured his ninth win of the season from pole position, putting him on the brink of becoming the youngest world champion in Formula 1 history if he finishes ninth or higher in Mexico.

Ferrari's Charles Leclerc earned a 9.5 rating after finishing second, while third-place finisher Max Verstappen received an 8.5 following a recovery from a poor start. Benjamin awarded lower scores to Cadillac drivers Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas, alongside Williams and Haas drivers who struggled with penalties and retirements across the weekend.
