Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that forward Antoine Semenyo will be sidelined for around eight weeks with a collateral ligament injury. Speaking ahead of Tuesday's Champions League match against AEK Athens, Maresca also noted uncertainty regarding Erling Haaland, who picked up an injury following City's 3-2 victory against Ipswich Town.
Haaland was feeling better and remains a doubt ahead of final training sessions, while Semenyo's MRI showed the injury was less severe than initially feared. The Ghanaian forward is expected to return in December, potentially opening up increased playing time for Phil Foden in the interim.
