The Philadelphia Flyers announced that defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen will be sidelined for two weeks due to an upper-body injury. Ristolainen missed Monday's practice after returning from a nine-game absence on Saturday against the Anaheim Ducks, where he reportedly re-aggravated a hand issue. He has been limited to just four appearances this season.
With Ristolainen sidelined, rookie Oliver Bonk is expected to solidify his role in Philadelphia's top-four defensive pairing. Meanwhile, the Flyers will continue rotating blue-liners, including David Jiricek, Simon Benoit, and Helge Grans, to fill out the defensive rotation.
